PepsiCo Supports Flood-Affected Communities in Southern Thailand
Recent flooding in southern Thailand has disrupted daily life for many families in Hat Yai and surrounding districts in Songkhla province, as well as parts of Pattani province. Prolonged waterlogging and damage to local infrastructure have affected homes and limited access to food, clean water and essential household items, creating additional challenges for households already under pressure.
In response, PepsiCo, together with the PepsiCo Foundation and Rak Thai Foundation, has mobilized humanitarian support to assist communities impacted by the flooding. The support is focused on addressing immediate needs while helping communities stabilize as early recovery efforts begin.
The response is supporting the provision of emergency food, drinking water, hygiene supplies and essential household items to families in flood-affected areas. Particular attention is being given to elderly individuals, children, people with disabilities and low-income households, who are often disproportionately affected during prolonged flooding.
This initiative reflects PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation’s shared commitment to strengthening communities by expanding access to nutritious food and safe water, especially for underserved and vulnerable populations, through trusted, long-term partnerships. By working through local organizations with deep community knowledge, support can be delivered responsibly and in line with local needs.
As communities in southern Thailand continue to manage the impacts of the flooding and begin recovery, PepsiCo remains engaged with partners and local organizations to support affected families in the period ahead.
